Fifteen to eighteen minutes each way on I-280 is a real trip, and doing it twice in a day for a job that takes ninety minutes makes very little sense when the alternative costs the same. You give us the vehicle and the address, the correct glass gets loaded before the van leaves Oraton Street, and the whole thing happens where the car already is. Nothing about the finished result differs from the shop version of the same work.
This side of the city is also easier to work in than the dense middle. Streets off South Orange Avenue and Sanford Avenue are wider, more houses have driveways, and there is usually somewhere legal and level to set up beside the vehicle. The van carries urethane, primer, moldings, tools and a vacuum, and works off its own power. The only jobs we pull back to the shop are the ones that genuinely need it: static camera calibrations, and bonded glass on a day when it is either raining hard or cold enough that cure times stop being reasonable.
