Street parking is the default nearly everywhere except a few older single-family pockets, and the blocks around the avenues turn over constantly as delivery vans stop wherever a gap appears. Alternate-side sweeping keeps the whole thing in motion.

Two things break glass here more than anything else. The first is the avenues: Bloomfield and Mount Prospect are patched, plated over utility work and full of vehicles throwing grit, and a stone off a truck tire at thirty miles an hour leaves a chip that will not stay a chip through February. The second is overnight break-ins, which in a ward this dense are a numbers game rather than bad luck. A bag left on the seat, a phone mount stuck to the glass, and a driver's window becomes a pile of tempered cubes in the footwell by morning. We see both patterns every week, and we would far rather fill a chip in half an hour now than sell you a whole windshield in March.
Almost every North Ward address reaches us on Broadway. From the Verona Avenue end come south, from the Bloomfield Avenue end come north, then turn onto Oraton Street; we are at number 23, open Monday through Saturday from eight until six. Coming off Route 21, exit toward Bloomfield Avenue and cut west a few blocks. Nobody in this ward needs a highway to get here, which is why so many people simply drive over rather than booking mobile.
